Welcome to bollards of London (incorporating bollards of Britain), a site dedicated to those rather odd looking pavement objects you find in the most interesting of places. Bollards have a history richer than most objects placed upon the pavement and we can easily find some from the earlier part of the 19th Century. Welcome once again to bollards of London and please do follow/contact me on the twitter @BollardsEngland or via gmail john.bollards@gmail.com #thankyou...

The Washing of the Bollards...
Good to see that Lambeth council is taking road safety seriously with this chap "washing the bollards" in the centre island of a zebra crossing on Lambeth Road.
In the foreground you'll notice the keep left bollard has been sprayed with a chemical of sort and is looking a lot cleaner than the grey almost black looking bollard in the background.
The Washing of the Bollards...
PS we have a new blog starting shortly and that is http://www.benchesoflondon.blogspot.com/ let's see if we can make a bench as popular as a bollard?
